I've been looking for a cravat to for you to wear under your Bleues de Travail jacket. The splendid Thales silk day cravat from the Cravat Club might be what we're after. As you might be wearing it for gardening, the botanical pattern of the cravat is verdantly fitting.

The Thales cravat is made from a 36oz extra soft silk twill and is printed and handmade in England.

Cravats are your friend

I know you love the idea of wearing cravats, particularly in summer, but maybe the last time you tried one you found it slipped around the neck. You got annoyed and vowed never to wear a cravat again. Cravats are your friend, don't reject them. Let me just say that I think you overreacted a tad. What you need to do is take a deep breath and try the approach recommended by the Cravat Club:

• Pull the cravat around your neck making a longer blade at one side like a tie
• Wrap the longer blade around the shorter one TWICE
• Pull the blade up and back through the neck
• Ruffle the cravat to cover the gap in the open shirt

The key here is the double wrap technique. An even more secure option is to tie a reef knot and hide the knot with the longer blade if you're terrified of exposing neck. I understand. I really don't like skin showing twixt cravat and shirt.

A flamboyant option is to consider the cravat ring. I've mentioned cravat rings before, and perhaps they are something that the Cravat Club may wish to consider supplying. There are some excellent vintage examples out there (as below).
